Edo State Gov. Commends UI Best Graduating Student

The Executive Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has congratulated Ofure Ebhomielen, an indigene of Edo State, who graduated with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 7.0 at the University of Ibadan (UI).

Obaseki commended Ebhomielen for emerging the best graduating student during the university’s 2019 convocation.

Ebhomielen, according to the institution, became the first female student and fourth person to obtain a perfect CGPA (7.0 out of 7.0) in the history of the university.

The Governor described her achievement as the justification of the inmate qualities and potentials of the Edo people.

“We warmly congratulate Ofure Ebhomielen, who has just been announced the best graduating student of the prestigious University of Ibadan with a CGPA of 7.0 out of a maximum of 7.0. the feat is applaudable.

“This is a feat worth emulating and we urge other students across the country not to relent in improving and developing themselves through constant learning and studying,” the Governor stated.

Obaseki gave the assurance that his administration would continue with reforms and policies in Edo State to ensure that students at all levels achieve their academic aspirations.
