The Federal Government has approved the appointment of Prof. Ahmed Hamidu, as the new Chief Medical Director (CMD), of the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria in Kaduna state.
According to a statement signed by the Director of Media and Public Relations, Federal Ministry of Health, Abuja, Boade Akinola, the appointment is meant to last for four years with effect from May 14, 2019.
The Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, who congratulated Hamidu on his appointment as the new CMD, reminded him of the enormous responsibilities of his office and the yearnings of Nigerians for an effective and responsive healthcare delivery system.
The Minister further urged the Hamidu to consolidate and improve upon his predecessor’s achievements to justify the confidence reposed in him by President Muhammad Bhari.
