The Executive Governor of Nasarawa state, Umaru Tanko Al-Makura, has confirmed the appointment of Acting Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Prof. Suleiman Bala Mohammed as the substantive Vice Chancellor of the institution.
In a statement signed by Comrade Abraham Ekpo, Public Relations Officer of the institution, the Secretary to the Government of Nasarawa state, Barrister Mohammed Hassan Abdullahi, who signed the appointment letter on behalf of the Governor described the appointment as well deserved and timely.
“Following the outcome of your interview for the position of Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi and sequel to the recommendation of the Governing Council of the University and the exercise of the power conferred on the Visitor of NSUK and Governor of Nasarawa state, via paragraph 4 (1) of the first schedule of law establishing NSUK 2001 His Excellency Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura approved your appointment as Vice Chancellor of Nasarawa State University, Keffi,” the appointment letter stated.
According to the statement, the appointment takes effect from April 3, 2019 adding that it was for a single term of five years.
