Unknown armed men, according to report, have abducted two lecturers of the Mahuta Community of Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
The abducted lecturers, who are biological brothers, are Dr. Adamu Chinoko and Dr. Umar Chinoko. They are members of staff of different institutions.
Campusbiz gathered that Dr. Adamu Chinoko is a lecturer at the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria while Dr. Umar Chinoko lectures at the Kaduna State Polytechnic.
Findings revealed that Dr. Adamu was abducted on Thursday night while Dr. Umar who went to pay N2million ransom to the kidnappers was also held captive on Sunday.
The spokesman of the Kebbi Indigenes Association in Kaduna state, Garba Muhammed, stated that the kidnappers called and demanded an additional N5million as ransom.
Muhammed described the lecturers as good ambassadors of Kebbi in Kaduna as he pleaded with security agencies and the government to end kidnapping in the state and the country at large.
When contacted, the spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Yakubu Sabo, promised to get back after getting further details of the sad incident.
