Registering for WAEC is not as hard as most people think, in-fact, registering for WAEC is similar to that of NECO, though, there are slight differences.

Just as for NECO, the registrant or schools are expected to collect the approved registration fees from all their candidates and issue one bank draft in favour of The West African Examinations Council (WAEC).                       Cheques are paid at the WAEC Zonal/Branch Office in charge of their State. The designated WAEC Finance Officer in the Zonal/Branch Office enters information regarding the payment on his computer and issued the school a scratch card or pay voucher containing information to enable the Principal/Examination Officer sign up to the e-Registration Website.

After this there will be need for a source of Picture of Candidate from school or registrant either a passport, or pictures from phones or net.

After this a template or form of the registration is issue to the candidate to fill so as to quicken the rate of registration and to prevent timeout

After this the registrant log on to the WAEC website on: www.waeconline.org.ng; while on this website, click on the year of registration e.g. “May/June Examinations” icon. This takes you straight to the e-Registration home page where the details of the candidate are filled.
