The Osun State Government has reiterated its commitment and determination to the continued growth and development of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, Oyo state.
The Deputy Governor of Osun state, Benedict Alabi, gave the assurance when he paid an unscheduled visit to the University’s College of Health Sciences.
He restated the unflinching interest of the state in the growth and development of the institution, stressing that the government and people of the state looked forward to a raised stake that will make it a real equal partner in the arrangement that established the university.
Alabi explained that the economic situation in the country is making it extremely difficult for the government at all levels to continue to provide all that everybody needs.
Earlier in his address, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Michael Ologunde, who welcomed the deputy governor and his entourage, told the government officials that LAUTECH was up and doing in turning out world-class graduates that are useful in meeting societal needs.
While appealing for improved funding, the VC assured the deputy governor of the management’s commitment to the realization of the vision of the founding fathers of the university.
