Guardian News reports that the VC disclosed during the maiden Robotics Competition (RC) which was recently held at the institution.
He said the lecturers and the entire UNILAG community work as a brand to create and develop students who would enhance the lot of the nation and the world at large.
“Our students have come up with robotics that would go to the mining area with sensors to make work easier and improve the nation’s innovative ideas. Aside the institution being a brand, there are lot of value adding programs going on.
“Our students are one of the best in the world and this is evident in all they have accomplished at global competitions. So in 2019, the institution would not only rank the best in Nigeria but also the five best university in Africa, even in the world, our ranking would go up because we’re not sleeping,” the VC stated.
