UNILAG Alumni To Partner Osun State On Research

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Alumni Association has expressed the readiness to partner with the Osun state government in the areas of research and capacity building.

The leadership of the Alumni association said the partnership is necessary to support the state towards actualizing its dreams in turning around the socio-economic fortunes of the state.

The association led by its President, John Momoh of Channels TV made the state recently in Osgogbo, Osun state capital during a courtesy visit to the Governor of the state.

The President of the association who was represented by the first Vice President, Chief Fassy Yusuf, assured the Governor of the readiness of the association to strengthen critical sectors like education, agriculture, health and mining in the state.

Yusuf also said that the members are ready to support the state with their pool experience cut across various disciplines.

According to him, the visit is part of the programmes lined up for the 50th anniversary of the association as it was designed to honour the state Governor, Gboyega Oyetola who is a member of the association.

“We are here to congratulate you on your election and assumption of office, we are also here to solidarize with you and the people of Osun state as we are ready to partner the state mostly in the areas of research and capacity building,” he stated.

The Governor expressed gratitude to members of the association for identifying with him and his administration.
