The University of Ibadan (UI) has resumed for the 2018/2019 Academic Session as new students and their parents were seen trooping into the institution.
It is recalled that the management of the university had slated the resumption date for June 5, 2019, but had to shift it to allow the staff of the institution to go on a well-deserved break before the commencement of a new academic session.
New students were seen dragging their bags and baggages as they sort out their accomodation and other conveniences.
Parents and Guardians were also seen assisting their children in locating their halls of residence and also to ensure that they settle in before returning home.
“I hear that only about 4000 were admitted out of about 29,000, who sat for the Post UTME here. I am happy that my daughter is lucky to get admission,” a delighted parent stated.
Campusbiz gathered that other categories of students are expected to resume on the 22nd of June, 2019.
