Governor of Katsina State, Alhaji Aminu Bello Masari, has approved the appointment of Ambassador Zakari Ibrahim, Talban Katsina as the new Pro-Chancellor of state-owned Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU).
A statement signed by the Secretary to the state government, Mustapha Muhammad Inuwa said that the appointment is for 5 years and with immediate effect.
It stated that the appointment followed the expiration of tenure of the former Pro-Chancellor and was in line with section 361 of the first schedule of the Law establishing the University.
